Making changes to your plan information
You can make changes to your plan information by signing in to My Account or contacting WorkSafeBC People Services or WorkSafeBC Pension Plan.
Personal information
- To update your personal information, such as your address, sign in to My Account. You can also contact People Services if you are an active member and the WorkSafeBC Pension Plan if you are a retired member
Beneficiaries
Contact the WorkSafeBC Pension Plan:
- If your beneficiary has died
Sign in to My Account:
- If you want to nominate or change your beneficiary
Changes in marital status
Contact People Services if you are an active member and the WorkSafeBC Pension Plan if you are a retired member:
- If you have married, become common law or are going through a separation or divorce
- If you have changed your name after getting married or divorced
- If your spouse or beneficiary has died
- If your beneficiary has a new address
Transferring or purchasing service
Contact People Services:
- To transfer service from another plan
- To purchase service
- To claim credit for time you spent child-rearing
Pension questions
Sign in to My Account:
- To use the personalized pension estimator to calculate the amount of your pension
- To apply for your pension online
Contact People Services:
- To request a mailed copy of your retirement planning package or pension estimate
- To select a pension option once you've decided to retire
Changes in employment
Contact the WorkSafeBC Pension Plan:
- If you had been collecting a WorkSafeBC pension and are now re-employed
Pension benefit payments, deductions and tax slips
- To change the amount of tax taken off your pension payment, contact the WorkSafeBC Pension Plan
- To update your direct deposit information, sign in to My Account
Death of a plan member
- If a plan member dies, and you are the beneficiary or represent the member's estate, contact People Services
