Pension Life: News for retired members
Stay in the know! Read Pension Life for the 2026 cost-of-living adjustment of 2.4 per cent, retirement health and dental rates, and resources to support you in retirement.
Notice: July pension payments
In 2026 changes were made to B.C.'s provincial income tax deductions. The changes went into effect July 1, 2026.
Some retired members may notice that their pension payments will be lower than usual from July to December 2026. This is because additional B.C. income tax is being deducted to recover amounts that were not collected after the provincial tax changes earlier this year.
The catch-up adjustment ends in December 2026, and regular tax deductions will resume with January 2027 pension payments.
