Submit a form to divide your pension

Send us a form to tell us how to divide your pension between you and your former spouse.


Submit the form

  1. If you do not have a separation agreement or court order, complete Form P9 Agreement to have benefits divided online
  2. Print the form
  3. Ensure that both you and your former spouse sign the form in the presence of a witness
  4. Send the completed form to the WorkSafeBC Pension Plan.

Submit a separation agreement

You can also send us a separation agreement or court order to let us know how we should divide your pension between you and your former spouse.

Already submitted a separation agreement or court order

If you have already submitted a separation agreement or court order outlining how you and your former spouse want to divide your pension benefit, you do not need to submit Form P9 Agreement to have benefits divided. Form P9 only applies if there is no agreement or court order in place or if they do not state how to divide the pension.

What you'll need to submit the form
  • Your former spouse's social insurance number
  • The plan member's social insurance number or person ID number
  • A witness to sign the form
